After months of keeping it secret, we're finally able to share the news: Brad and the team from his Lost History TV show have officially found the missing 9/11 flag that the firefighters raised at Ground Zero. It was one of Brad's greatest hopes when he created the Lost History show — that a viewer would find a missing or stolen historical artifact and turn it in. We're so excited that the #1 item that we wanted to find — the 9/11 flag — is finally back in New York City where it belongs.
Recently, Brad was at the incredible 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City as they unveiled the flag, where it is now on display for the world to see. Take your family to this breathtaking place. This amazing event could not have happened without help from law enforcement, forensic experts, eyewitnesses, the original owner of the flag, a former Marine, and so many other people at HISTORY and Left/Right, who made the TV show possible.
Brad told the full story as he hosted a one-hour History Channel special (America's 9/11 Flag: Rise from the Ashes). Click on it below. You won't want to miss it. And to read about how it happened, here's the story from the New York Times.
Needless to say, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Brad, and one of the things he is most proud of. He always writes about history. But we never imagined that he would be able to participate in history in this way.
Thanks for being on this journey with us.
